The Phoenix’s Calamity

Legend has it that after the Yellow Emperor defeated Chi You, the Bird Goddess Chu Luoci was on duty. Though pregnant, she still brought four maids and rode her celestial horse-drawn carriage down to the mortal world. On her way back to the Heavenly Palace, she suddenly suffered a stomachache and went into labor. The maids were thrown into a panic and had no choice but to land at Moyang Mountain. After enduring immense pain there, Chu Luoci finally laid two eggs. Weak after giving birth, Chu Luoci transformed into her true phoenix form and spent a month hatching them. Out came two little phoenixes, one blue and one red. The goddess of the Phoenix Clan, Chu Tianyao, and Xuan Mingjun of the Water Clan meet, come to know and love each other, and weather many calamities. Together, they rid the world of evil and protect the peace of their lands as guardian deities.
