The Rise of the Ming Dynasty: Starting When Jiajing Secretly Hears My Thoughts

Li Yang transmigrates to the fortieth year of the Jiajing era of the Ming dynasty.

He becomes an armed guard outside the Hall of Supreme Harmony.

The Jiajing Emperor is busy pursuing immortality, officials are busy lining their pockets, and eunuchs are busy currying favor.

Li Yang wants to turn the tide and change the situation. By chance, the Jiajing Emperor overhears his inner thoughts.

A natural disaster strikes Zhejiang. If the people aren't appeased, rebellion is inevitable. Water can carry a boat, but it can also capsize it.

No money?

There are so many corrupt officials in Zhejiang. Kill a batch first, and if that's not enough, kill another. They're a menace if left alive anyway.

The Japanese pirates are causing chaos, and there's still no money?

Make the corrupt officials donate. If they refuse, send them to the battlefield to fight the enemy!

Who else is going to do it if not them?

Shouldn't we just kill Yan Song, the Grand Secretary?

I, Li Yang, guarantee that I'll give Your Majesty ten times the pocket money he does each year.

The Jiajing Emperor is astonished to discover that when he acts on Li Yang's inner thoughts, the Ming dynasty slowly begins to rise again!
