An Eternal Moment

That was probably the most far-flung dream I've ever had.

A joking remark brought him and me closer. In the dream, I felt not only happy, but safer than I ever had before.

Like a migratory bird, I had always followed the crowd. Now I had somewhere to nest.

Could the person I thought about all the time really think about me, too?

“Is everyone in your family this devoted?” he asked me in the dream.

I replied, “Yes. Want to give it a try?”

He said, “Sure. Let's try.”

We also watched fireworks on the mountain, though sadly it was daytime, so there wasn't much color.

But he'd said he liked the mountains. That was nice, too.
