Chronicles of the Dark Journey to the West

Once, Sun Wukong wreaked havoc in the Celestial Palace and made his name known across the Three Realms. But when he discovers that Buddha Tathagata has once again released his uncle, the Great Peng, into the mortal world to wreak havoc, while the gods allow their subordinates to murder people and slaughter entire villages, fury burns in his heart. Sun Wukong resolutely raises havoc in the Celestial Palace once more, challenging the authority of Heaven with his own strength.

The battle darkens the heavens and shakes the earth. Though Sun Wukong possesses great supernatural powers, he is ultimately no match for the combined strength of the gods and is beaten until his soul is scattered. Yet his legend does not end there.

With the help of his former master, Patriarch Bodhi, the last trace of Sun Wukong's consciousness is sent into the mortal world, beginning his journey through reincarnation. There, he will face new challenges and opportunities, with an unknown fate awaiting him. Can the former Great Sage Equal to Heaven find himself again amid the turmoil of the mortal world and return to the summit? An astonishing journey of rebirth is about to begin.
