The Woodcutter of Nanshan: My Wife Is a Dragon

He laughs at a thousand injustices, rides a dragon, and lays his hand on his blade at the Ninefold Pass.

Shallow waters cannot nurture a true dragon. When Old Chen dies, the woodcutter boy and the hidden dragon girl leave their small town and step into a vast world. The dragon enters the sea, the four corners stir, and the turbulent realm grows ever more treacherous:

Seven kingdoms vie for supremacy, and the Nine Provinces rise. The martial world battles for dominance, dragons and snakes emerge. Righteous and demonic forces clash, and the cosmos shifts into a new configuration.

At the Great Snow Mountain, ten thousand Buddhas bow in devotion. At the Cliff of the Sea of Bitterness, a monk takes a bride.

In the mountains, a Daoist lord watches sword dances. In the Impure Forest, a Celestial Master holds power.

The sages of the academy speak, and their words become law. Young scholars spew nothing but filth.

The emperor in court is filled with ambition. A street thug claims the throne.

In the Northern Wastes, demons run rampant. In the Southern Frontier, monsters wreak havoc.

In the Old Dragon Pool, someone waits for a wandering son. Amid the sound of chopping wood, an enemy is struck down.

Years later, the woodcutter boy stands with blade in hand. He surveys the chaos of the age and gazes toward the Ninefold Heavens, his thick brows lifting.

"Since all sides are deadlocked, let me be the one to break the stalemate. I'll ride a dragon through the Nine Heavens, wield my blade to cleave the netherworld, and give the people under heaven a bright, peaceful world."
