A Chinese Odyssey: I Am the Number One Immortal in the Three Realms

Have you ever wondered what immortality is?

At the end of cultivation, do you find Buddha, or yourself...

The three realms turn in a cycle of cause and effect.

Why are you a powerful lord while I am a mere mortal?

At the end of reincarnation, are all living beings truly equal...

Buddha said: "It cannot be spoken!"

Nuwa mended the heavens.

Where is the sky she mended?

Tang Sanzang went to fetch the scriptures.

What were the true scriptures he sought?

They say the Buddha's teachings are boundless.

But what lies at the end of those teachings?

The Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong,

was pinned beneath Five-Finger Mountain by the Tathagata's palm,

but his soul quietly escaped,

and reincarnated throughout the Three Realms!

Though he had lost his memories of his past life,

Wukong still had his spiritual roots.

Whether he was Sun Wukong, who wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace,

or Qin Xianglin, a mortal in the flesh,

he was destined to roam the Three Realms

and battle every demon, monster, god, and Buddha under heaven!

But is that the end?

Of course not!

The path to enlightenment has no end,

and one need not travel to the Western Heaven to seek the true scriptures...
