Land-Based Cannons on Ships, and You Bring Out a Railgun?

Military industry expert Qin Feng transmigrated to a parallel world and became an ordinary researcher at a military design institute.

That year, a strait crisis erupted. The mighty United States, riding high on its victory in the Gulf War, entered the strait and loudly proclaimed it would resolve the Pineapple Island issue once and for all.

Facing the powerful Pacific Fleet, the navy was desperately short on firepower and could only mount the army's howitzers and tanks on cargo ships for use.

With land artillery at sea, the Dragon Kingdom had reached its most difficult and dangerous hour.

Yet after the first test firing, the "new cannon" on the deck of a civilian ship left the three service chiefs dumbfounded.

Second Artillery chief: This thing has greater range and firepower than a missile. You call it a cannon?

Navy chief: A civilian ship carrying an electromagnetic railgun to take on an aircraft carrier. For a moment, I couldn't tell if we were behind or powerful!

Only the air force chief quietly pulled Qin Feng aside and lit a cigarette for him:

"Chief Designer Qin, our air force is desperately short on firepower, too. Since land artillery can go on ships, when do you think this electromagnetic railgun can go on a fighter jet?"
