Great Ming: My Luck Is So Good, Even the Monks Are Losing Their Minds

In the fifth year of Yongle, Chen Nan transmigrated into the body of a Taoist priest. His predecessor's master had been ambushed and thrown off a cliff during a Buddhist-Taoist debate, while his senior and junior fellow disciples had defected to Buddhism and driven him out of the temple. Just when things seemed at their worst, Chen Nan bound a System, and his luck became exceptionally good.

He went into the city to look for someone and accidentally entered the wrong house. There, he discovered that the abbot of the Discipline Hall had a mistress on the side and was planning to abandon his wife and child, breaking just about every Buddhist precept.

He got lost in the thick fog and happened upon a cave. Inside was the Buddhist Canon of Longevity, compiled by Buddhism at a cost of several million taels of silver.

It contained many lost Buddhist scriptures, giving him a firm grip on Buddhism's lifeline.

"Taoist, please hand the canon over to this humble monk. It is the greatest treasure of all Buddhism."

"No. I'll burn it!"

"Burn it? Why?"

"Yesterday, when it was time to cook, we ran out of firewood. That thing seemed perfect. But while it was burning, something just wouldn't catch fire. I pulled it out and took a look. It turned out to be a relic of Shakyamuni!"

"W-where is it?"

"I drilled a hole through it, tied it to a line, and went fishing. It works perfectly."

"Aah!! I'll fight you to the death!!"
