The Song Dynasty Artillery Corps

Wang Dun, a modern man, transmigrates to the era of Water Margin and becomes the son of Wang Lun, the Liangshan leader who was executed. When he arrives at the Wang family home, he learns that Wang Lun joined Liangshan not to rob or kill, but to build Wanzi City and benefit the local people. Chao Gai's gang, on the other hand, are nothing but bandits, killing people when they fail to gain admission.

To avenge his father's death, carry on his legacy, and take Liangshan back, Wang Dun studies hard and passes the imperial examination. He is named third-place candidate in the palace exam and assigned by the emperor to oversee weapons procurement as a deputy in the Privy Council. Using his modern knowledge of artillery, Wang Dun gathers skilled artisans to develop rocket launchers and forms the Great Song Artillery Corps, striking hard at the invading Jin forces. Meanwhile, he works within the court to arrange an amnesty for the Liangshan heroes. At last, he retakes Liangshan and rebuilds Wanzi City, creating a paradise amid the brutal years of war.
