Hu Fei, a veteran in the restaurant business, transmigrates into the world of a TV drama and becomes an unemployed drifter on Huanghe Road.
He also gets bound to a sign-in System, but this System only lets him sign in by talking to Li Li.
In October 1992, Li Li, a Qingdao native from Shenzhen, arrives on Huanghe Road.
When he sees the dazzling sign of Zhizhenyuan light up, Hu Fei decides to apply for a job for the sake of the sexy, alluring older woman Li Li... Ahem!
For the sign-in rewards, of course.
Li Li: "What position are you applying for?"
Hu Fei: "Operations manager."
Li Li: "Hah. Do you think you're qualified?"
Hu Fei: "Give me a month, and I'll make Zhizhenyuan the top restaurant on Huanghe Road."
Li Li: "I don't like jokes."
Hu Fei: "I never joke."
Li Li: "One last thing. Tell me about yourself."
Hu Fei: "Hu Fei. Male. Interests: Li Li."
Li Li: "???"
A month later, looking at the packed Zhizhenyuan,
Li Li glances at the handsome Hu Fei beside her.
Her beautiful eyes ripple with emotion.
