Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country is a science fiction adventure film produced by American Paramount Pictures, directed by James Cameron, starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelly and others. The film tells the story of a distant future where the war between the Interstellar Federation and the Klingon Empire is coming to an end. The two sides decide to resolve their differences through diplomatic means, but things become extremely complicated when a senior Federation official is murdered. The film was released in the United States on November 18, 1991, and was nominated for the 64th American Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Film. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious.
