Positive-Energy Comic Artist: Creating Death Note on the Spot

Lu Chen wakes up one morning to discover that he's taking part in a live-streamed comics variety show.

Contestants have to create comics based on prompts from the production team.

Every work must be positive and uplifting!

The production team gives them the prompt:

Good student, notebook!

The other contestants all create sunny, positive school comics about friendship, hard work, and all the usual uplifting stuff.

But Lin Yu goes against the grain... and comes up with Death Note instead...

The audience is completely stunned. "The prompt is 'good student, notebook,' and you draw Death Note??"

The production team is stunned too. "Mr. Lin, we asked for a positive and uplifting work! Your male lead is way too evil and his values are all wrong!"

"Not at all, not at all. My work fits the theme perfectly, and it promotes truth, goodness, and beauty at every turn... The good student protagonist goes down the wrong path, but in the end he gets what he deserves. Isn't that quite uplifting?"

"I don't believe a word you say..."
