You Thought I Was Filming a Romance Drama, but I'm Making a Show About the Womanizing Lu Xiaobu

Lin Yu is reborn in a parallel world as a top-tier second-line idol.

The three major streaming platforms have started their annual idol drama competition.

While competing to star in Penguin's S-tier idol drama of the year, he is robbed of the role by Yang Yang, a veteran top-tier celebrity.

Everyone thinks Lin Yu will have to settle for starring in an inferior A-tier production.

Instead, he plans to fund, write, direct, and star in his own TV series.

Everyone thinks he's lost his mind. He's giving up the lead role in an A-tier idol drama to do it all himself?

And judging by the title, it's some tacky idol drama, too.

When the series airs, it shoots straight to number one in popularity!

Yang Yang: "You! You! Lin! You cheated!"

"What he's making is a comedy, not an idol drama. I'm reporting him!"

Lin Yu: "Who says an idol drama can't be funny?"

Yang Yang nearly spits blood. "This... seriously counts, too??"
