The Swordsman Pei Xiaojin

Late autumn, Luochuan Commandery, at the foot of Hanqing Mountain, in the Ruyi Tavern.

There were plenty of customers in the tavern. The waiter dozed behind the counter, while the air was filled with the aromas of wine and meat. In the middle of the main hall, a storyteller spoke passionately about the greatest swordsman in the Central Plains, recounting how he carried a peerless sword and traveled far and wide, helping those in danger and upholding justice. At the most thrilling parts, the listeners cheered in approval.

The setting sun's rays slowly streamed in through the windows. A young woman sat by a window on the second floor, but there was no wine on her table, only tea. The light fell into her cup, and the dark green tea had just begun to turn a little brown.

There was actually plenty of sugar in the tea, because the young woman liked sweet things.
