I Moved to Korea to Make Movies, and My Box Office Reigns Worldwide

Gu Fei transmigrated to a parallel world and became a film and television director.

For certain reasons, he was blacklisted by the domestic entertainment industry.

With no other choice, Gu Fei went to Korea to make his career.

Drawing on his memories, he brought over A New World, a film that had dominated Korean and Chinese entertainment in his previous world. It made Korean actors Hwang Jung-min and Lee Jung-jae famous, while Korean screen legend Choi Min-sik took a supporting role. The film went on to win three major awards, including the Blue Dragon and the White Elephant.

For a whole year, this newcomer from Rabbit Country released ten films that won Blue Dragon Awards.

Just when online commenters were convinced that this director from Rabbit Country could only make gangster movies,

Gu Fei wrote and directed Man in Love, which became Korea's best tearjerker romance in a decade.

After that, Gu Fei filmed So-won, Silenced, and Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, exposing the dark side of Korean society.

Years later, when Gu Fei returned to Rabbit Country laden with honors,

Chinese director Feng Xiaogang personally welcomed him.

Zhang Yimou even called himself Gu Fei's junior.

Honey Mi made three visits to Gu Fei's home, just to get the female lead's third-best friend's role in his next film.
