Great Ming: Trading for Future Tech, Shocking Old Zhu

After transmigrating to the Ming Dynasty as Zhu Yuntong, he can exchange for anything from the future.

From the start, floods and famine ravage the land, so Zhu Yuntong exchanges for sweet potatoes.

"Grandfather, these can be eaten raw or cooked, and yield ten shi per mu."

Zhu Yuanzhang: "With these, won't the people of the empire never go hungry again?"

"Dear grandson, thanks to the cement you invented, I can travel anywhere without hindrance."

"With rifles, we won't have to fear Tatar raids anymore."

"Grandson, you can even command lightning!"

"I never thought I'd be able to go up into the sky. My dear, I'm flying up to see you!"

Steam airships, ironclad gunboats, steam cars, howitzers: every new invention leaves Zhu Yuanzhang utterly dumbfounded.

"My dear grandson takes after me. He's just like I was back in the day."

"My Tong'er is as learned as Confucius and Mencius, and as mighty as Xiang Zhuang."

From then on, Zhu Yuntong becomes the Ming Dynasty's foremost imperial grandson.

Now highways span the whole country, and everyone has enough to eat, so Old Zhu chooses to abdicate.

On the day Zhu Yuntong ascends the throne, he makes a declaration that shocks the world:

"I shall make every land where the sun rises part of my Ming empire."
