Great Ming: Two Years in Exile, Ten Thousand Concubines, and I Drive Zhu Yuanzhang Mad

In the thirteenth year of Hongwu, Jin Prince Zhu Gang, who had been in his fief for two and a half years, takes tens of thousands of concubines and forces hundreds of thousands of commoners into corvee labor.

Old Zhu explodes with rage on the spot: "You wicked son!"

"It seems every girl in Taiyuan Prefecture has become this wicked son's concubine."

"Hundreds of thousands of people forced into labor! How much suffering must they endure?"

Zhu Yuanzhang immediately sets off with Empress Ma to drag Zhu Gang back from Taiyuan Prefecture to Yingtian.

But the moment they enter Taiyuan Prefecture, they are stunned.

The commoners are hardly starving. Every one of them is beaming with happiness.

Smooth roads, hundreds of thousands of mu of sweet potato fields, and golden seas of wheat.

Each sight leaves Zhu Yuanzhang utterly shocked.

"How can this road be so smooth and hard?"

"Sweet potatoes can yield ten shi per mu! With such good food, the people of our Ming Dynasty will never have to go hungry again."

"Glass is a fine thing. Bring some back for me."

"This rifle is as good as a divine weapon. I'll grant him mining rights. Whatever he needs, he only has to ask."

"The power generation in this industrial zone is..."

After seeing all this, Zhu Yuanzhang does a complete about-face:

"Third son, how about I abdicate and let you take the throne?"
