A Bandit in the Ming Dynasty: I Tied Up Old Zhu

Wang Xuan transmigrated to the Hongwu era and became a bandit chief, with a group of exceptionally skilled brothers under his command.

Old Zhu left the city to observe the lives of the people. He stopped at a teahouse, only to be kidnapped by bandits and dragged back to their stronghold.

Wang Xuan: "You're a scholar?"

"I even served as an official under the Yuan dynasty."

"Then join us!"

"Our stronghold is just short of scholars."

Old Zhu: "I just want to live quietly for a few days."

Without another word, Wang Xuan took Old Zhu on a tour of the stronghold.

Potatoes, a cement factory, and an ironworks.

Old Zhu was stunned by it all.

Old Zhu: "With so many good things, if you join the imperial court, they'll surely reward you."

Wang Xuan: "I'm not stupid!"

"That dog emperor Zhu Yuanzhang is a butcher."

"He wants to kill people at the drop of a hat."

"I'd be better off living a carefree life here in the stronghold."

Old Zhu: "Fine. I can join you."

The entire court was dumbfounded.

The emperor had actually run off to become a bandit.
