You Told Me to Make a Terrible Movie and Lose Money, So What's with The Wandering Earth?

Chu Xuan binds himself to the "God of Cinema" System.

He can keep making great movies and earn extra System rewards.

The catch is that he has to find the funding and actors himself.

As it happens, he sees that superstar Yang Mi's new company is hiring a director.

Yang Mi binds herself to the "Lose Money" System.

Whenever she invests in a movie that loses money, she gets double her investment back, along with extra System rewards.

Yang Mi looks at Chu Xuan's resume: no film or television training, no industry experience, and not even an interest in watching movies?

Yang Mi: "Welcome aboard. You're exactly the kind of talent our company needs."

This is definitely going to lose a ton of money. Fantastic!

Chu Xuan counters with a movie called The Wandering Earth.

A few years later.

Yang Mi: "Five years. Do you know what I've been through for five years? Because of Chu Xuan, that sly dog, I haven't gotten a single System reward!!!"
