Great Tang: I Wrote an Alternate-History Novel, So Why Are the Officials Panicking?

In the Zhenguan era, Chen Yong transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty. He becomes a scholar who was driven out of the Hanlin Academy for being obsessed with novels and storybooks, and binds himself to the Critical Writer System.

With divine ingenuity, he transforms his ideas, letting his powerful pen roam free!

In this world, faces may look alike, but hearts are different!

Someone needs to dare to speak the truth and expose them!

So he writes The Scholars, satirizing the many scholars who spend their lives poring over the classics. Before passing the imperial exams, they behave themselves, but once they pass, they willingly sink into depravity and do everything in their power to embezzle.

They can talk endlessly about the classics and philosophy, but when it comes to actually getting things done, they're useless!

He writes Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, satirizing the truth that the most terrifying thing in the world isn't ghosts, but the human heart.

He writes Diary of a Madman, exposing the cruelty of this world!

“I opened a history book and looked. There were no dates in it, and every crooked page was filled with the words ‘benevolence and morality.’ I couldn't sleep, so I studied it closely in the middle of the night. Only then did I see the words hidden between the lines.”

“The whole book is filled with two words: ‘man-eating!’”

The officials were so horrified their scalps tingled. Was there any future left for them?
