Underworld Clerk: My Nine-to-Five Life in the Human Realm

Though Xia Yan is an ordinary, normal person, he has an unusual and abnormal job: he works as a netherworld official!

His hours are 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., with weekends off. His monthly salary is over ten thousand, overtime pays double, he gets six types of insurance and a housing fund, all kinds of allowances arrive on time, and he has a permanent contract. He even gets labor insurance after retirement.

The work is extremely dull and requires no special skills. He just checks the merit ledgers of people he dislikes in the human world and hands out rewards and punishments. The job mostly involves things like arresting souls, collecting spirits, claiming lives, banishing evil ghosts, adding or subtracting years from people's lifespans, and tossing anyone who has lost their yin virtue into a cauldron of boiling oil to make a deep-fried ghost. Just little tasks that are too embarrassing to mention...
