Walking Beside You

Good and evil have never been able to coexist. Ever since the distinction between them arose, the wars between the God Realm and the Demon Realm have never ceased. The demons are bent on ruling the Three Realms, but evil has never triumphed over good, and they have suffered defeat after defeat.

More than ten thousand years ago, the Demon Realm once again plotted to attack the God Realm and unleashed four ancient beasts that had been sealed on Yin Mountain tens of thousands of years earlier. After breaking free, the four beasts wreaked havoc in the mortal realm, turning it into a living hell. Unable to bear seeing the mortal realm suffer such torment, the gods had the King of Hell send the Five Ghost Emperors of Fengdu's Ghost Domain into the mortal realm to seal the beasts once more on Yin Mountain. The five emperors worked together, spending ten thousand years of cultivation to finally reseal the four beasts deep within the mountain. The Eastern Ghost Emperor, Shui Linglong, and the Western Ghost Emperor, Mo Yan, exhausted their powers and fell into a deep sleep. The King of Hell sealed Shui Linglong and Mo Yan separately in the depths of two dragon veins rich in spiritual energy, using the veins' energy to restore Shui Linglong's primordial spirit and ten thousand years of cultivation. Mo Yan awoke after exactly ten thousand years, but Shui Linglong slept on for more than ten thousand years...
