The Heavenly Court's Investiture of the Gods in the City

Six hundred years ago, extraterrestrial demons invaded. The immortals and gods of the Three Realms sacrificed their own flesh and blood, ultimately winning the war. But the immortals, gods, and Buddhas fell in an instant, causing the Heavenly Dao to collapse. The souls of every immortal, god, and Buddha were cast into the cycle of reincarnation.

Six hundred years later, Li Qingyun, master of Xuanyang Temple, accidentally inherits the divine position of the Jade Emperor. In an instant, an ordinary young Daoist becomes the supreme ruler of all life in the Three Realms.

But the Heavenly Court now has no one left to serve. With no other choice, he must follow the Jade Emperor's instructions and seek out the reincarnated immortals, gods, and Buddhas, so they can prepare for the possible return of the extraterrestrial demons.
