Siheyuan: A Trial Marriage with He Yushui, Just to Enrage Silly Zhu

Li Xiangyang transmigrates into the world of the Siheyuan. When He Yushui, who has long been infatuated with him, takes the initiative to confess her love, the whole flock of birds opposes it, and Silly Zhu even hits him.

To get revenge on Silly Zhu and put the rest of the birds in their place, Li Xiangyang enters into a trial marriage with He Yushui. From then on, He Yushui becomes a long-term servant, washing and cooking for Li Weiguo, and even reciting poetry for him at night.

Qin Huairu hears the sounds and is consumed with longing and jealousy. After Jia Dongxu dies, Jia Zhangshi wants to seize the Li family's assets, so she urges Qin Huairu to enter into a trial marriage too, hoping to trick Li into marrying into the Jia family.

Years later, Li Weiguo still only enters into trial marriages without ever getting married, and now he makes even more outrageous demands.

When Jia Zhangshi hears this, she wails: "Li Weiguo, have you no shame? You said that if you had a trial marriage with Qin Huairu, she'd marry into the Jia family. Now you want to have trial marriages with Xiaodang and Huaihua too, and become my granddaughters' husband?"

Li Weiguo: "A trial marriage isn't marriage. Lou Xiao'e, Chen Xueru, Guan Xiaoguan, and the others all have to try it out before I can choose the most virtuous wife!"
