Hong Kong Tycoon: From Fishmonger to Fortune Maker

Ye Tianqiang is reborn on Hong Kong Island in 1985 and becomes a well-known fishmonger on Yuehua Street in the public housing estate. People call him "Fishmonger Qiang."

Ye Tianqiang hates the name. He just wants to be a good person and have people call him "Mr. Ye."

To achieve that, he first launches Hong Kong's first men's magazine. It sells like crazy across the island, earning him the name "the lecherous king."

Using a small stake to take on a giant, he seizes the right opportunity to swallow up Hong Kong's entire comics industry. He collects protection money from every comics company on the island, and people start calling him "the investment king."

He acquires village rights, gets into shipping, starts a TV station, opens a bank, and deals in arms. His businesses dominate Hong Kong and extend their reach across the world.

Justice of the Peace, honorary knighthood, patriotic businessman... All these titles reveal only a fraction of who he is. No one knows just how powerful he is, but everyone knows that when they see him, they must bow and respectfully say, "Mr. Ye."
