I Got Blacklisted for Tearing Apart Bad Movies, and Boss Yang Mi Begs Me to Tone It Down

Jiang Ce transmigrates to a parallel world, becoming a film screenwriter under Yang Mi and binding himself to a film-review System.

All he has to do is review movies to earn rewards.

With his sharp-tongued mode activated, he runs into the premiere of Shanghai Fortress, where countless trending topics and celebrity bigwigs hail it as a groundbreaking masterpiece of Chinese sci-fi cinema.

But Jiang Ce already knows it's a terrible movie. He doesn't hold back on Weibo, only to get flamed on trending topics and attacked by the entire internet.

He doesn't care in the slightest.

Ding! Host reviewed Shanghai Fortress. His words are as sharp as a knife, each one striking to the heart. SSS rating awarded. Reward: The Wandering Earth screenplay!

His boss, Da Mimi, pays him a late-night visit to demand an explanation, but unexpectedly, she doesn't leave that night...

The next day, Shanghai Fortress is confirmed to be a flop.

Just as film fans across China resign themselves to sci-fi having no future, Jiang Ce lays the foundation for homegrown sci-fi cinema with The Wandering Earth!

As he rises to fame, his boss Yang Mi watches his reviews grow ever more cutting and calls out to him late one night: "Director Jiang, that's enough already!"
