Great Ming: Zhu Di Won't Let Me Resign

In the third year of Yongle, the realm had only just been pacified. The founding emperor of the Ming, Zhu Di, was displeased by a matter involving Zhang Anshi, the magistrate of Ping'an County, who had been impeached by Grand Secretary Xie Jin.

He decided to keep everyone in the dark, head northwest, and travel westward on an impulsive undercover inspection tour.

To his surprise, he discovered a paradise hidden from the world.

The locals here were astonishingly law-abiding. He had only accidentally spat on the ground, and they fined him for it?

His own great general who guarded the realm had been arrested for drinking! Even harder to accept, Zhu the Demon, who had always been a match for ten thousand men, had actually been taken down by a woman in red sleeves!

After all that, there was no one he could even appeal to!

The local economy was thriving, the people lived and worked in peace, and they were prosperous. There were also all kinds of things he had never seen before.

This county was so wealthy it rivaled the capital, yet its county office was in such disrepair it looked like a beggar's den.

Everything about it was bizarre!
