Grandpa, That 99-Year-Old Mecha Pilot License of Yours Is Fake, Right?

In 1999, the FAST radio telescope in China observed that the Sun's nuclear fission was accelerating.

That same year, Earth's history entered a one-year blank period. The history of that year came to be known as "the Forbidden History."

In 2044, to address the solar crisis, the nations of the world joined forces to launch the "Mountain Moving Plan": set Earth adrift in search of a new home.

Luo Yu, who had transmigrated, was selected to join the Space Elevator Program.

However, Luo Yu had thought he had simply arrived in the world of The Wandering Earth...

Until one day, during a visit home, he realized that this world might not be as simple as it seemed.

"Grandpa, is your mech pilot's license fake? You're so old, why are you still acting like a teenager?"

"I've looked online. Forget 1999, we can't even build a mech like this today, and there was never any Battle to Defend Earth..."

His grandfather smiled at the dashing photo on the license.

"Your grandpa was pretty impressive when he was young."
