Great Ming: From the Start, My Childhood Friend Chongba and I Were at Odds

After transmigrating to the fourth year of the Zhiyuan era, I became a six-year-old boy named Ji Shisan in Gu Zhuang Village, Zhongli, Haozhou.

Zhu Chongba, Tang He, and the others were my friends from the village.

Tang He hung around with Zhu Chongba, but Zhu Chongba and I didn't get along. He was always picking fights with me.

I was always bullying them, often making them give me piggyback rides and ordering them around until they could barely take it.

By a twist of fate, I joined the Red Turban Army in Haozhou.

After becoming a commander of a thousand, I heard that Zhu Chongba had become a monk, so I decided to write him a letter and brag a little.

Who knew that fool would come all the way to Haozhou?

And instead of coming to see me, he chose to enlist as an ordinary soldier.

Before long, he got promoted!

Then he got promoted again!

Then he got promoted yet again!

This was bad. His rank was now higher than mine.

How awkward!

I was better than him at fighting, but he was better than me at coming up with plans.

I didn't want to work hard anymore, so I decided to follow him!
