Starting in Kowloon Walled City, I Conquer Hong Kong

He was a man who should have died long ago.

Now, in the 1980s, he arrives at the Kowloon Walled City and becomes a laborer whose job is to carry corpses for a living.

He had hoped to spend his life in peace.

But his old superior's death leaves him adrift, then jolts him awake.

He will rise above the rest, even if he is covered in blood, even if countless vengeful spirits come to demand payment in his dreams.

He knows only that opportunity is always in his own hands, and that begging will never get him what he wants.

Women, power, status, everything: he has to fight for it himself.

He will cast benevolence and morality aside and stake his life on carving out a future.

When I am good, ten thousand households worship me as a living Buddha!

When I am evil, even the Buddha has to give me a wide berth!

From the Kowloon Walled City to Hong Kong's underworld, and all the way to the pinnacle of the world.

He will show the world that he is no deserter, and certainly no discarded man!
