Seafaring: The Summit War Forty Years Later

In the Sea Circle calendar year 1498, Gol D. Roger became the Pirate King.

That same year, the Navy captured him and sentenced him to death.

But the words he spoke before his execution inspired everyone to set sail, and the Great Age of Piracy began!

On January 1, Sea Circle calendar year 1500, the Pirate King's heir and the Navy's Seven Warlords of the Sea fought an unprecedented battle at Marineford. This epic clash would later be known as the Summit War!

On May 3, Sea Circle calendar year 1522, Monkey D. Luffy, who had been missing for two years, reunited with his crew and set sail on another adventure.

That same year, on May 20, he defeated one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Donquixote Doflamingo, and liberated the kingdom of Dressrosa, whose people had been deceived for twenty years.

That same year, on June 1, he challenged one of the Four Emperors, Charlotte Linlin, and made it out unscathed. Through his actions, he proved that he was already capable of ruling a sea of his own.
