This Midas Touch Spell Isn't Very Reliable

Cang Yan, a seventeen-year-old from the state of Wei, was a Qin dynasty fangshi. After the unification of the realm, Emperor Qin Zheng ordered him to search for one of the supreme treasures on the Three Immortal Mountains, the "Gold-Touching" artifact on Fangzhang, together with his master Tu Er.

The other two treasures, "Longevity" and "Foresight," were on the immortal mountains of Yingzhou and Penglai, where the fangshi Xu Fu and Lu Feng were searching for them, respectively.

For five years, Tu Er and Cang Yan traveled together in plain, fitted clothes, disguised as wandering scholars. After countless hardships and dangers, they finally found the "Gold-Touching" treasure on Fangzhang.

"They say you can wear out your iron shoes searching for something and still find it nowhere, only for it to come to you without any effort at all."

Tu Er squinted and scrutinized the gleaming treasure. It looked a lot like a shell, with a flawless, dark-gold surface. The only marking on it read, "Made with care by the Celestial Artifact Bureau."

"Is this the legendary supreme treasure, the 'Gold-Touching' artifact?"

This Gold-Touching System wasn't very reliable. It was stingy, sure, but worst of all, it had a sharp tongue!
