Powered Wooden Fish: 9,999 Merit Points

Cultivating in the mortal world is an incredibly tedious business. You have to calm your mind, meditate, and constantly brush the dust from your soul.

There are all sorts of rituals to perform, and only after striking the wooden fish one last time do you earn a little merit.

After a busy day, Master Li was exhausted in both body and mind, so he set about building a fully automatic wooden fish machine.

He used flowing water for power, with a waterwheel driving a connecting rod that struck the wooden fish.

Merit plus one, merit plus one. It's a little slow. This is worse than cultivating the hard way.

If one machine isn't enough, then make a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand.

Behind him, a towering golden body of merit rose up, gazing down upon all living beings.

I shall win you over with virtue.
