Disciple of Ji Dian: Tangled Up with the Green and White Serpents from the Start

He transmigrated to a mythical world and became the disciple of the mad monk Ji Dian at Lingyin Temple.

But he couldn't live like his master, letting wine and meat pass through his gut while keeping the Buddha in his heart.

Every day, he chopped wood, carried water, chanted sutras, and prayed to Buddha.

Three meals a day meant steamed buns and pickled vegetables, with not a drop of oil in sight.

He put up with this miserable life for half a year, until the day he finally couldn't take it anymore and roasted a rabbit raised by his master's old rival, Zen Master Guang Liang.

"This roasted rabbit leg is damn delicious!"

Ding! The Rule-Breaking System has activated!

Host has broken the abstinence from meat. Reward: Dragon-Subduing and Tiger-Taming Eighteen Arhats Dharmakaya!

Guang Liang flew into a rage. Ji Dian pleaded for him and sent him down the mountain to gain experience, subdue demons, and exorcise evil.

Who could have guessed that on his very first day down the mountain, he would encounter the Green and White Snakes and Xu Xian at Hangzhou's Broken Bridge?

Xiao Qing: "You stinking monk, I refuse to believe my sister and I can't squeeze the life out of you with our entangling art!"

"Amitabha. If I do not enter hell, who will? Please, use a little more force."

Bai Suzhen: "I can't go on. Zen Master, please let me go."

Xiao Qing: "Don't come any closer! I'm poisonous, I'll bite you!"
