Tomb Raiding: From the Start, I Invited Hu Bayi on an Expedition to Japan

After transmigrating to the late 1970s, Xu Yan becomes the son of a prominent military compound family, newly discharged from the army, and discovers that this world is not as simple as it seems.

He has a cousin named Hu Bayi, knows an antique dealer named Huo Xiangu, and there's a state-run restaurant called Crescent Moon near the compound.

Of course, that's not the most important part.

The most important thing is that, according to his predecessor's memories, he once rescued a British aristocratic explorer named Richard Croft in the Devil's Sea near Japan.

Yamatai Island in Japan, the Golden City of the United States, Egypt's Valley of the Kings, Rommel's treasure left by the little mustache...

Tomb raiding?

Xu Yan: "I'm definitely not raiding tombs. It's dangerous, immoral, and could cost me years off my life. I'll have to make a living appraising antiques and exploring abroad instead. But how did I end up in charge of the 749 Bureau? I never wanted to be a leader..."
