Great Ming: Zhu Yuanzhang's Birthday Gift, a Treasure Map

He transmigrated as Zhu Shuang, the Prince of Qin of the Great Ming.

It was August of the eleventh year of Hongwu, on the eve of Zhu Yuanzhang's fiftieth birthday.

Two Japanese ronin snatched the carefully chosen birthday gift for Old Zhu, then mocked him for being a pauper.

In response to the "kind" greetings of his Japanese friends,

Zhu Shuang, being a pauper, could only offer Old Zhu a treasure map he'd made by hand to show his filial devotion.

"Imperial Father, this is a map to a former Song treasure that your son obtained after great hardship. I offer it to you on this joyous occasion, and wish you boundless longevity, and the Great Ming boundless longevity..."

Many years later.

When the Great Ming's dragon banners had been planted across the entire Blue Star,

Zhu Shuang sat on the dragon throne and looked around, sighing without end. "The universe is so vast, yet my Great Ming's territory amounts to only the seven continents and four oceans of the Blue Star. I... am truly too poor!"
