When the Apocalypse Came, the System Ran Amok

Beneath the blood-red sky lay a ruined city. A gigantic black sphere stood at the very center of City A, over five meters across, with hideous, vicious-looking monsters streaming out of it without end.

Not far away, a human-led squad spotted the monsters emerging from the sphere and launched the first attack.

Tens of thousands of arrows of light appeared above the monsters. With a whoosh, they all plunged down and pierced the creatures, which promptly exploded.

Some humans had already engaged the monsters in combat. Just as they had nearly wiped them out, countless tentacles appeared on the black sphere.

A man carrying a greatsword had no time to react before a tentacle pierced his abdomen. His body shriveled at a visible speed, until nothing remained but an empty husk.

The human forces fell into chaos. Most began fleeing in every direction, but they were no match for the tentacles' speed.

More and more people were killed by the tentacles, while monsters continued pouring out of the black sphere, growing bigger and stronger...
