I Made a Military Service Simulator, and Made Players Nationwide Cry

Ye Yang returns to 2004 as a fourth-year computer science student at the National University of Defense Technology. He's taken on a game development contract from the military recruitment office: he has six months to create a game promoting college students enlisting in the armed forces.

Ye Yang is stumped. In the early days of the internet, game developers are scarce. How can he make a game all by himself?

Luckily, the System activates just in time. With its help, he successfully creates a military service simulator that combines the storylines of I Am a Commando and Soldiers Sortie. The moment it launches, it sets the entire internet ablaze!

Netizen A: "If needed, I'll lay down my life for my country. If it comes to it, I'll save the last bullet for myself. This game's story is so inspiring! I want to enlist too, and become a special forces soldier!"

Netizen B: "He's clearly a tough guy, but somehow looks so meek. I love Gao Cheng so much. That character made me cry buckets!"

Netizen C: "My favorite line is, 'Glory lies in the ordinary; hardship lies in its long duration.' It made me cry so much!"
