In Search of Immortals

A dream of Nan Ke. Looking back, a beloved companion by his side, he returns to his hometown as a boy.

He searches the mortal world for immortals, all to find his way home. In a dream, he returns to the street where he played as a child: a steaming bowl of wonton noodles, one kind face after another, a little courtyard paved with blue stone, and both parents still alive. He dreams of being a boy again.

Blue stone, a narrow lane.

? A boy climbs the stone steps. At the turn...

? Before his eyes, a fairy in a blue dress descends the steps.

? The boy's heart races. His whole body trembles, and his legs feel as heavy as lead, unable to move an inch.

? A few simple words. The girl in the blue dress smiles faintly, and the world seems to stand still.

? They say that in one's final moments, one's most vivid memories replay. This scene must be the clearest image in his memory.

Half a lifetime of memories in a misty blue-stone lane, her smile turning with the wind.

He yearns for the blue dress beneath a crown of rainbow clouds; a bond between immortal and mortal, destined across three lifetimes.

The boy's surname is Zhang, his given name Yunlin. In the mortal world, he crosses paths with an immortal's robe.

In the mountains and forests, there are seekers of immortality; one figure in white sets out on the path to the immortals.
