Like the Passing of Time

The first time I saw him was not in the early morning on a sunny day. There was no bright sunshine passing through the gaps between the leaves, nor did it penetrate the morning fog and fill the campus with wisps of dawn. The national flag was whistling in the wind, light raindrops fell and hit the head, the air was stuffy, and there was still a fog that wouldn't go away. All the teachers and students stood quietly below and watched the national flag being slowly raised. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious.
