One Surgery Takes Ten Rolls of Gauze, and You Say I'm Taking Kickbacks?

An appendectomy takes ten rolls of gauze. From the start, Su Tian is hounded online as a heartless doctor who even takes kickbacks on gauze, and people threaten to sue him.

The incision is twenty centimeters long, and he is accused of risking a patient's life just to get a medical kickback.

The operation costs 80,000 yuan, and the whole internet tears into him, saying the kickback must have been enough to make him rich.

Su Tian, the doctor who signed off on the case, becomes a disgrace to the medical profession, reviled and attacked by thousands online.

His colleagues join in, viciously slandering him online. Taking kickbacks on gauze is already beyond the pale, and a twenty-centimeter incision in this modern age is tantamount to murder. He must be taken to court.

But when the trial begins, Su Tian presents the operation videos one by one.

"Yes, it was appendicitis, but the patient waited too long. It was past the point where minimally invasive surgery was possible, so we had to clean out the abdominal cavity."

"The incision really was twenty centimeters, but that was because sixty percent of his intestines had rotted, so it took ten rolls of gauze to clean them out."

"The operation cost 80,000 yuan. I only got 200 for the overtime surgery."

"You say I took kickbacks?"
