The Empress Takes a Bride from the Start, and I Stumble into the Bridal Chamber

Liu Mu transmigrates to the Great Zhou dynasty, becomes its chancellor, and takes control of imperial power.

To protect the fortunes of Great Zhou, Liu Mu has the empress marry three women.

On the beautiful empress's wedding day, Liu Mu gets drunk and wanders into the bridal chamber...

The empress swears to reclaim her power after Liu Mu's outrageous disrespect for the throne, but she suffers setbacks at every turn. She leads troops to seize power, only to be captured, and even her bedchamber falls into his hands.

Liu Mu: "Your Majesty, rebellion comes at a price."

Empress: "Traitor! How could you treat me like this?"

Liu Mu: "Rest assured, Your Majesty. Now that we're family, I'll treat you well from now on and devote myself to supporting you."

Empress: "I'm so glad to have you."

Yet before long, Liu Mu takes the throne.

Empress: "Didn't you say you'd always support me and wouldn't take the throne?"

Liu Mu: "Exactly! Who put this imperial robe on me? This is ridiculous! I'm not the emperor, so how can I wear it?"

Empress: "You put the imperial robe on yourself! You swore you didn't want to be emperor, yet you keep calling yourself 'I, the emperor.'"
