Liu Mu transmigrates to the Great Zhou dynasty and becomes its chancellor, wielding control over imperial power.

To attain immortality and save the people, he must transform from a powerful minister into a treacherous one, then finally don the imperial robes and seize the female emperor's throne.

The Great Zhou empress is reborn. She thinks she can easily reclaim imperial power, but she meets obstacles at every turn.

Liu Mu: "Does Your Majesty have something to report?"

Empress: "Report? Why do you keep visiting my godmother?"

Liu Mu: "Because I still want to be your godfather."

The empress leads her army to seize imperial power, but is **, and even her bedchamber falls.

Liu Mu: "Your Majesty, rebellion comes at a price."

Empress: "You treacherous minister! You're my imperial uncle! You can't treat me like this!"

After he takes the throne.

Empress: "Didn't you say you'd always support me and wouldn't take the throne?"

Liu Mu: "I did! Which treacherous minister put the imperial robe on me? This is ridiculous! I'm not the emperor, so how can I wear the imperial robe!"

He keeps saying he doesn't want to be emperor, yet calls himself "I, the sovereign" at every turn.
