A New Beginning in the Countryside

This year, the villagers are still laboring hard just to put food on the table. Students are still crossing mountains in pursuit of an education, and elderly people without family are still waiting anxiously for their children to return.

This year, Han Erniu, a recent university graduate, makes up his mind to return to his hometown and farm, with encouragement and help from his friends.

Before Han Erniu returns to Dongshan, an unexpected car accident causes a change in his mind. By piecing together fragments of his memories, he gains an astonishing memory and learns to see through dreams, bringing one stroke of good fortune after another to his career.

He starts with the traditional crafts of his hometown to earn his first fortune, then leads the villagers in building mountain roads and connecting to the internet; developing ecological farming together and building an ecological community; cherishing the big and small events in life and creating cultural attractions; and visiting elderly people without family to share the warmth of human kindness.

In just over a decade, with Han Erniu and the villagers supporting and encouraging one another, they create a legend of a beautiful and prosperous eco-friendly countryside.

There are no more barren fields, nor do children have to struggle to get to school because of treacherous mountain roads. All that remains is a wonderful place where everyone has enough to eat and wear, and birds sing amid fragrant flowers!
