Military Life: Squad Leader, Stay Calm, We're the Mess Hall Crew

Lin Xuan transmigrates to a parallel world and joins the military. He hopes to become the ultimate soldier, but through a twist of fate, he ends up in the mess squad instead.

Luckily, he activates the sign-in System. As long as he shows up to sign in with the mess squad every day, he'll receive generous rewards.

A year later,

Lin Xuan's unit takes part in the annual military exercise, engaging in fierce combat with the theater command's special forces.

Military channel reporter Zhuang Xiaoying is covering the event live.

After following the troops on a 20-kilometer march in full battle gear, she finally reaches the exercise grounds, only to find that the mess squad has already dug a smokeless stove and started preparing a meal for the whole company.

When she takes a closer look, she even spots them caramelizing sugar.

Caramelizing sugar in the middle of a military exercise? Is there really a need to show off like that?

What Zhuang Xiaoying doesn't know is that the best part is yet to come.

When she follows Lin Xuan, the mess squad leader, to deliver food to the company, she discovers that the opposing force has already cut off their supply line.

Lin Xuan: "Xiao Zhuang, hide here. I'll go take out those enemy sentries."

Zhuang Xiaoying: "Squad leader, calm down! We're the mess squad!"

The whole livestream bursts into laughter.
