Mengchang Jun, One of the Four Young Lords of the Warring States

In the final years of the Warring States period, the Eastern Zhou dynasty was plunged completely into an era of rival states vying for supremacy. Each vassal state began recruiting talented people on a grand scale to serve its own aims. The great states hoped that wise men would help them claim hegemony and ultimately unify the land, while the small states sought to survive by attracting talent and avoid being annexed by their larger neighbors. In this era, Lord Mengchang, Lord Pingyuan, Lord Chunshen, and Lord Xinling emerged, becoming known as the Four Lords of the Warring States. Through this novel, the author hopes to recreate that age of contention among the Hundred Schools of Thought.
