Slipping Love

The novel is set in the early 1990s and relies on the grassroots rural life in the Jiangnan water town. It tells the story of He Qiong, a college student who was promoted to a stock-level cadre but was dismissed, and then promoted to a stock-level cadre and was dismissed again. After He Qiong's love was hit, the emotional entanglement between Feng Mengqi, a temporary worker in the same hometown, and Ping Juanjuan, a middle school teacher, formed the main body of the story. When He Qiong was wandering, distressed and desperate, he turned around and reaped the love that quietly came from his former crush, and was reborn.
