Village

A youth that cannot withstand scrutiny. When the subjective desire for independence clashes with the objective tide of society, one is pushed forward step by step, awkwardly and against one's will. Though one doesn't envy the social standing of those who go with the flow, privately there is still some regret. In the end, one lives not to achieve any particular goal, but because one doesn't want to die. No one cares about the lives of ordinary old people who came through a special era. Even the kind and honest nature they retain until death is treated as a cautionary example for the younger generation. Through the life of a dull person, this story shows that humanity has made no progress in two thousand years, and that there is nothing new under the sun.
