Three Kingdoms: Becoming a Scoundrel Begins with Stealing Zou Shi from Cao Cao

At the end of the Eastern Han dynasty, An Liang transmigrates into the era. He has always heard that Liu Xuande is benevolent and righteous, and wants to join his ranks.

Who could have guessed that history books can't be trusted completely? Liu Xuande isn't some benevolent lord. He's just a big-eared bandit.

When he learns An Liang has no money or fame, can't fight, has no powerful relatives, and can only cook one good dish, he says:

"I can only afford greens and radishes for three meals a day. What use do I have for a cook like you?"

He even lets his sworn brother Zhang Fei pay An Liang five copper coins and send him on his way.

Zhang Fei says, "You're worth five coins, so take this and buy a couple of steamed buns on the road! Honestly, I can't stand freeloaders like you."

Furious, An Liang heads south to Xudu and takes over a run-down tavern.

Thanks to his cooking skills, business soon booms.

But lately, An Liang has been a little troubled.

A fellow calling himself Old Cao has been dropping by the tavern for drinks every few days, asking all sorts of questions.

"Shopkeeper An, who do you think will end up ruling the realm?"

"Shopkeeper An, what do you think of Cao Cao?"
