The God Who Walks Against the Light

"Damn it, I'm a deity! How come I'm working 996 for you humans?"

"What do you mean it doesn't count as a job? The people here are talented and pleasant to talk to! And I can investigate the mastermind who framed me? Then I'm in!"

The supreme God of Fire, Zhu Rong, is ambushed during his battle with the Sword Demon. He loses not only his divine artifacts, but also has his primordial spirit separated from his body.

To investigate the mastermind, Zhu Rong has no choice but to possess the body of a dead man, Ling Yan, and cling to the mortal world for the time being.

But after his rebirth, a clan organization calling itself the "Lightbringers" seeks him out. With no other choice, he joins them and is forced to fight alongside An Jing, a chuunibyou, talkative Sword Immortal; Lu Xingjing, a scheming Ghost King; Chen Xi, a witch; Xin Yan, a female martial artist; and Su Ya, a descendant of Nuwa.

The demons of the Demon Realm they face have all sorts of disguises and identities in the human world. They can also drag people into the Void Realm, where they have home-field advantage. The group must not only fight the local demons in the Void Realm, but also use public opinion in the real world to expose their disguises,,,,,
